changing gp in the public system

Did you know that you can choose your primary care physician, not only from your health centre, but from any health centre in Andalucía?. YES YOU CAN.

Getting a GP:           

                                                       

* Ask around for recommendations from people you trust

* After you have one/two selected, go with the print out of the free election (“libre eleccion de especialista) to the health centre.  Remember that you have to show the document you printed in case they give you trouble, if they continue say that you want to write a letter complaining (“carta de reclamacion”)

* take this form already filled out

the only limitation to changing Drs is if that particular doctor has his/her quota full, or if he has a lot of elderly people.
